And reasons why the average user wouldn’t want to do this.
And reasons why the average user wouldn’t want to do this.

See the videos from the February’s WordPress meetup group in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Our guest presenter was James Welbes and he goes over some of the basics of creating your own WordPress theme.
Please note: WordPress theme creation is NOT mandatory to learn or is it even recommended for that matter due to the extream overhead of maintenance, potential security issues, and a slew of other issues that can go along with creating your own custom WordPress theme. This is for demonstration purposes and learning only.
Below is a quick demonstration of the website content made with HTML vs JavaScript (and HTML technically). You’ll notice in the video below that James has to click through the HTML pages and wait for the content to load one page at a time. While the JavaScript version of that page simply slides into view.
As always a group of us went out after the event to talk shop and see how our friends are doing. Also to help with suggestions on how to help our clients the best and other tricks of the trade. Sometimes, this is where all of the learning and networking takes place. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
